Mission Statement: To breed for health and reliable disposition. To do what is honorable and right to protect the breed. To educate owners and potential owners about the German Shepherd Dog in order to encourage positive forever relationships between man/woman and GSD.
I take breeding very seriously. Producing a healthy dog with a great disposition is my number one goal. When I began searching for my first GSD I did not do my homework and all I knew is that I wanted a solid black male. I found a whole litter of black ones bred by a sweet woman who took good care of her dogs but she, like me didn't do the research. I selected a beautiful laid back male that I named Jax. He quickly became the love of my life. Our connection was phenomenal. He was strength, beauty and intelligence all rolled into one majestic heart; he was mine and I was his. I lost my best friend on July the 4th 2009, he was 4 and half years old. He died from hip dysplasia. The vet said he had never seen it so bad in such a young dog. His only suggestion was total hip replacement. A large part of my soul died with Jax that rainy afternoon. It has been over 2 years and I still cry for him. I don't want any person or family to experience the heartbreak like our family did because of his death. Additionally, I don't want any dog to ever suffer the way he did. For these reasons I have vowed to help protect this breed from health issues to the best of my ability.
I still want solid black GSDs but health is far more important than coat color. I do what I do out of love for Jax and the GSD breed.
